Tyreleader
Anyone used these before?
I ordered a pair of Metzler M5 Interacts from them at the weekend. The rear tyre arrived today, but not the front - apparently they come from different warehouses! The rear tyre has come from Austria, whereas the front tyre is somewhere in France at present. Seems a little crazy, but hey-ho! Their (online) customer service desk is very prompt & helpful.
Now to hope I like the tyres, as they're a change from the Michelin's that have been fitted to the MV since I bought it. I have had Pirelli Diablo's on the TL for some time now, and like them, and I beleive the M5 is a sister tyre to the Diablo Rossi, so hopefully all should be good.........

Re: Tyreleader
Apparently they can be very unhelpful and silent too when tyres go missing etc but they generally seem to get favourable reviews. Oponeo is another to try. On certain tyres they are priced better than tyreleader and the 2cts I had off of them were only produced a few weeks ago.TLS-Moose wrote:Anyone used these before?

Re: Tyreleader
Yes, I've used Oponeo in the past too. I have found that sometimes Oponeo's range doesn't seem quite as good, or one tyre price of a pair will be competitive, but the other not so ...... On this occasion they were £10 more expensive than tyreleader for the pair.
When you say 2ct, do you mean Pilot Road, or Pilot Power? The 2ct refers to the dual compound construction rather than tyre type ........

I have used openeo and were good,
As for the metzeler there are amazing, the m5 are a very good tyre but the newer m7rr are the next step up and even better

Re: Tyreleader
I'm not saying "ooh, wow, tyreleader, that's a new firm", what I'm querying is every other company I've ordered a pair of tyres from, the tyres have come together.
Ordering from Tyreleader, not only are the tyres coming separately, but they are coming from different countries - the rear has come from Germany but the front is still making its way here from France ........

Re: Tyreleader
Yes, used to use them. They used to do "triple" deals - two rears and a front. They got expensive though?kawasakiracer wrote:Has anyone tried F W R tyres used a few times and the service is excellent

The original Pilot Power 2cts. Thought they'd stopped making them ages ago as they have been superceeded and they were going to be older stock. Had Power Pure 2ct's on which I loved but they're not being made anymore and there seems to be a shortage of fronts compared with old stock rears. Pilot Power 2cts were only £150 for a pair (120 and 180's) and I hated the metzeler K3's I had on, so at £150 they were worth a punt. Very pleased with them.scorcher wrote:Apparently they can be very unhelpful and silent too when tyres go missing etc but they generally seem to get favourable reviews. Oponeo is another to try. Re: Tyreleader
Yep, I must admit, I love the PP2 2ct's. There is a PP3 now, which is also dual compound.
My current PP2 has worn funny on the front, with a noticeable step in the proflie now, about 25% off centre, more noticeable on the right than the left, and with a strange impact on steering.
