Bike Servicing
Hi all,
My Triumph Tiger is over due for its service, i'm based down near the bottom of Cornwall and my nearest dealer is Exeter. So thinking of using an independent bike shop nearer home, any suggestions?
I do have a bike shop near my work in Portreath K Williams Motorcycles don't know anything about them but certainly would be handy anybody have any dealings?
Many thanks
Nigel

Heard very good reports about this chap.

If your bike is out of warranty and its nothing major, do it yourself. Just done oil, filter and pads on my tiger sport this week. I also use tuneecu to monitor/diagnose ecu faults and the like or update engine maps.

Re: Bike Servicing
I heard good things about Spike (K Williams) at Portreath so my bike is there now for the first time. He's the guy that used to be out on the A30 just east of Chivvy.
I have someone closer but the comments have not made me want to go there.

Re: Bike Servicing
I've used Spike before, he was ok. I had a problem with my forks when I got them serviced ( about 6 years ago mind), but I think that was his partner at the time who did them. Now he's on his own I would hope he's back to his old quality.
I would always recommend Anton Parris in Camborne, they are a Suzuki dealer but have always been good to me at MOT time and done good deals on tyres etc. I do all my own servicing now though, so its hard to say if their work matches the general shop / parts service.

Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!

Another one worth considering is Richard Thomas at Pascoes on Water-ma-Trout Ind Estate in Helston.

I've only been in there once but he seemed like a good guy. I might try him for my 250 so I can compare!

Just got back from Spike on the Deauville. Certainly can't complain about his prices so I've left the 250 there which will be more of a test maybe.

Where do or who do you work for that's on that estate then Tiger? I work up the road towards Redruth on the Gilberts Coombe industrial estate, just after/ before ( depending on which way you're travelling ;) ) the North Country turning.

Hi Badger, I work for Anson Care on the Jacquemand Industrial Estate Bridge, well that's where the main office is I work between one of the four care homes. Hence K Williams would be ideal as I could leave the bike with them all day.

Plymouth is your nearest Triumph dealer, not much help but 40 miles closer

Re: Bike Servicing
Nearest depends on how you measure it. Exeter is as near as Plymouth from down here most days at least in terms of hassle.
