z750 - anyone own one ?

Post by green_hodgeheg »

I am looking for a z750, 2003 or newer. Anyone got one ? Is it a good bike for a slightly mad woman ? Anyone seen one in a showroom in Dorset Somerset or Wilts ??? I am going cross eyed looking on line, want to see one for real. :P

Hello and welcome!

There's a couple of people on here who own them, of varying age/model 8)

Why not pop along to the "introduce yourself" section and tell us a little about yourself?

Both myself and my partner have them,
I have a 2013 (late reg) z750r
And krystal has a 2012 z750

We really enjoy them, good fun bikes, comfortable but still enough to misbehave when needed.

Head to a local Kwak dealer, arrange a test ride then if you like it, ask them about any used ones they may have or know about. If you get nowhere with that line of enquiry, go home, troll the Net and bag yourself a good used one, safe in the knowledge you are getting what you want.

Oh and Ruffian, the gold and black one looks real nice, yours or Mrs Ruffian's?

Thanks for all the advice ! Been trying to find one near enough to look at but nearest is Exeter. Found a nice thousand to sit on but the showroom made me give it back. Think they saw through my confident air and realised it was out of my budget. It was new and very green......
Tried the 800 but a tad too high. :-0

Mrs Ruffian's I expect. Ruffian's will be the one with the teddy bear and all the pink thingies on it. :ymdaydream:

Mine is the black and gold one, (loved the colour as always reminds me of John player special and reminds me of my old zx12)

There so much fun for a cheap bike, bought mine brand new and love it. Just at times think it needs a little bit more power, 105bhp isn't enough lol. If I could get it closer to 130 it would be amazing.

As for the ride krystal took hers on her first track day and managed to bank it that far to scuff the belly pan!

Also if your Exeter way,
(I know it is at bridge and some people dislike them)

But it's good to test ride one

Then it would be a Speed Triple...

I really like the early thous, the orange ones with the shotgun pipes. But I think the later ones are better bikes.
All the Zs are good bikes though. I think those 750s look classier than the latest 1000s. They've gone a bit far with the power ranger look on the big uns for my liking.

Exactly gimlet,

I want the power of the thou but don't want to change my bike because I enjoy it so much,
But the zx9r top end fits onto the z750r engine!
