bike died
i was going home "doing 75 in top gear" and the bike just died on me the back wheel did not lock up and there is not oil anywhere so i know the engine did not seize up
it did not overheat or anything
it has fuel and oil
i think one of the gears may have exploded

Re: bike died
Are you sure its not an electrical fault?

Re: bike died
Even though you charged the battery, it might not be fully charged if there is a duff cell. Have you tried bump starting it in second gear? Have you checked all the fuses and the most obvious of all, have you checked the kill switch?
What makes you think that?think one of the gears may have exploded

If its not turning over then it indicates starter system, if it does turn over and not start then spark plugs/leads would be looked at.
They may lock when bump starting as there isn't enough grip to turn the engine over.

Re: bike died
i have just had the hr=ead and barrel of and the piston is not seized so that is good
but i have taken the front spindel of and the chain and when in gear it will not turn no matter what so i can only guess i have a exploded gear
i have also taken the starter motor of and that turns freely when not on the bike
but when its on the bike it won't turn

Re: bike died
i forgot to say i have also had a look at the starting sys and i have had the starter motor of the bike and it works fine the reason it dose not turn over is the big wheel that has the magnet in it gets stuck in one persion

Re: bike died
ok i have got this far
the engine is not seized as i have had the barrle of and all is fine there.
the fuses are fine.
it has fuel.
the starter motor is fine as it speens once removed but dose not when on the bike.
the big wheel that has a big magnet in it gets stuck in one persion so it will not turn over.
no matter what i do the rear wheel will not turn it seems to be stuck but i know the engine has not seized so the only thing i can think of is that a gear cog has broken and the bits are now stopping the drive from turning.

Re: bike died
i forgot to say
the piston moves freely in the barrle when you move the barrle but the piston and "rod" will not move

By the 'big wheel' do you mean the flywheel in the gearbox, where the starter links into?
Clutch problems could be the source. Suzukis won't start with clutch engaged, so that woudl anser the non starting, the wheel wouldn't spin easil;y anyway with clutch engaged. And the flywheel will not turn if the rear wheel is on the ground and clutch engaged. Check the clutch mechanism works on the gearbox when you pull the lever, then check the clutch plates?
