Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Ok so I am 100% up for this one. Approval signed off in triplicate from the boss lady and the motorbike owner.

Would like to join group 2 if possible but more the. Happy to join in with which ever group.

Is this ok or does this push us to the 3 group due to the numbers ?

Don't mind riding with you Rob if we can't define a 3rd group... Phill's looking hit n miss at the mo so if he's not there, there'll be space in the 2nd wave anyway.

See you then either way :D B-) :)

Att'n Brian. Depending which online map I access, I'm getting different routes from the start of Sunday's ride. After starting from the BP service staion, Google maps on my pc has the route as heading for Willand, then Uffculme, then Culmstock, then Hemyock, then up to the Xroads at Wellington monument and on to the Eagle Tavern (A303) etc. etc.
My Android phone thingy gives the start of the route as BP S/station to Willand (as above), then back (heading east) on the A38 to the eastern end of the Wellington by-pass, then south through Wrangway to the Wellington monument and on to the Eagle Tavern etc.
So, which is it? I don't want to be sat like a lemon waiting at Hemyock at 09.15 if you're all 4 miles a way on the Welly Monument road.

Yup sold it and totally bike less at the moment. However thanks to Bunny67 I have his Superduke 990 on battery charge in my garage whilst he has not been using it and have been put on the insurance so that i am able to ride it. Having checked with both the boss lady at home and Bunny67 that i can use the bike seems that i'm up for this one.

I've learnt this, pc/laptop google routes can change when you open it on android... Use the pc/lap top version Phill. :D

When the route has been finalised I'm happy to convert it to whatever format people need for their GPS's and make it available for download.

I've changed the route with a stop at Wellington Monument car park to pick up Wendy n' Phil & Kata.

https://goo.gl/maps/VaqWsoi1aQnXmdYH9

09.00 - leave M5 jcn27 services - grid ref' 50.916426,-3.354533
09.05 - Willand, Uffculme road
09.25 - Hemyock - grid ref' 50.912550,-3.228578 (Phil collection point)
09.35 - Wellington Memorial car park - grid ref' 50.943653.-3.221063 (Wendy n' Phil & Kata collection - we're not going in to Wellington folks)
10.10 - Crewkerne - grid ref' 50.886087,-2.795991
10.45 - Somerton - grid ref' 51.053746,-2.732026
11.05 - Castle Cary - grid ref' 51.089890,-2.506881
11.40 - Stock Gaylard - grid ref' 50.911116,-2.394829
12.10 - Maidon Newton - grid ref' 50.777459,-2.573153
12.30 - Broadwindsor - grid ref' 50.820048,-2.801302
13.00 - Smileys, Honiton - grid ref'50.796358,-3.208445

Obviously the further along the route the more the above estimated times will vary and if we do a sarny and flask stop (around Castle Cary perhaps?) even more so. And Phil, I guess smart phones aren't that smart if they can't show a Google map properly???

Please be at the start early for briefing about keeping the group together but separated into groups of 6 if you know what I mean
