ok, so as there seems to be an SWB invasion in Portugal for playtime i made the enquiry about a garage.

it came back as £250 per day!

i don't know how many are under our travel name but i guess we could split it all evenly.

please let us know your views etc below.

£750 just to be in the same garage is kind of insane in my opinion, considering everyone can join a WhatsApp group over the weekend, you can easily grab someone's attention if needed.

They don’t open all the garages, so I assume this price will be for an extra garage. I’m guessing you will get the complete garage for exclusive use for that price. Each garage can probably fit 25to 30 riders. I think the first time we went there was about 12 - 13 of us and we fitted in half the garage.

Personally I think this is a bit steep considering we get the garage for free anyway that they want us to then pay just so that we can guarantee that we are all grouped together. I am sure that we will be in clusters anyway just due to normal set up and unloading and only a short walk to find your fellow SWB friend a little further down the garage. For me I say no thanks but will go with the group consensus and if everybody decides they want to do this then will add in my portion of the funds.

Now if they are saying that if we don't pay then its an open paddock and you don't have access to any garage then different story and 100% in as not going to be packing generators for tire warmers and don't want to be out in direct sun shine when not on track.

What if all the garages get booked? Personally I would want some shade and it would be a better experience if all together, except for Nick he can sit outside

the garages are still ours to use, the option is to pre book one for our group or not - it's not complicated.

Happy to split cost Ive never ridden in such heat let alone tracked it so I know I will suffer so shade for me, can we fit a mini fridge on the stillage? Bugger the tyre warmers I'd be quicker after a cold one

Just to confirm we will have access to a garage no matter what the £750 is to have are own garage that nobody else other then SWB riders can go in. So if we pay nothing further we turn up and find a spot in the available garages. For £750 we have the privileged of saying "get out this is our garage"

Garages are there, for all to use.

usually 10 of them are open and it's a 'free for all' upon arrival,

so you don't know who you're sharing with.


Having pre booked, from what i've seen before, the doors Stay closed until the party arrive, so yes, it's a case of - not swb, jog on.
