It did come full of fuel, didn't pay it though. They weren't offering empty containers for rent on the Last trip.

We just took the water containers that Nick kindly got us.things may have settled down now as the whole carnet thing was new and people were just learning it.

We will ask Nick for containers

Just to confirm, the containers are water containers so have never had anything fuel/oily in them.
So can be left there in their wheely bins or brought home. Saves rental etc. Just list it as 'water butt'. Zero issues, zero hassle, zero extra cost. Simple.

I would just like to pick up again a point I made on page one about managing your money when your away. For some time now I have used a Revolut card / App and it’s bloody brilliant. Basically it’s an online bank, you upload money to the card from your normal bank and Revolut provide you with a MasterCard for all your usual transactions. But the big win is how easy it is to swap your money from GBP to Euro (or any other currency) in seconds and at amazing transfer rates and no fees
