Hey all
So going back to 2010 when I got back on motorbikes now with a 600cc plus engine my now deceased father made a bold statement that I never forgot.
“Your old and fat and you won’t bounce well… so don’t fall off”
Ever since then I have been fascinated by our riding gear and what protection it really offers.
I see that Ryan F9 just did an interesting vid about this one and worth a watch

I also did a similar video a while back if you’re interested and have the time might want to check it out as well.

Giving you the short version…. If you want impact protection buy AirBags. If you want abrasion resistance get AAA standard only.
So how safe are you really???

Yeah I saw that. It's not the clothing he's getting at, it's the low performance of the armour by design and the economical effect of setting a poor standard.
Something I've never seen mentioned in the bike press and they should be pushing for better.

If you watched Ryan F9 you need to watch this for balance. Fair to say not all is as it may appear in F9 world.

I like Ryan and enjoy F9 vids but I'm starting not to trust him/them.
This vid will be the 3rd in the last year or so that has been called out as being wrong (by people and/or youtubers that who know different), and there are also others which feature tests where I think he got it wrong in how it was carried out.
