You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Roy’s Rideout. 6th Oct' – Not to be missed

Post by Robbo87 »

An early heads up/date for your diary – Sunday 6th October 2024, weather permitting.

Here's the low-down: It's a ride of two halves, I'll lead the first bit to the coffee break and Brian the second. Details:
START: Bridge Motorcycles, Alphinbrook Rd, Marsh Barton, Exeter EX2 8RG.
START TIME: Meet 09.15 hrs-ish for an 09.30 hrs start time prompt - Please be fully fuelled and ready to go by then.
COFFEE BREAK: Jonesy's Cafe, Winkleigh - ETA 11.30 hrs.
MY ROUTE: https://maps.app.goo.gl/xxa25vwqKLhERWd56

Brian takes over from Jonesy's to the finish (see below).
BRIANS'S ROUTE: https://maps.app.goo.gl/rPD6NeqJBoEnKtzT7
TOTAL MILES: Approx' 143.
NOTES: We'll be using the 'drop-off' system to ensure no-one gets lost or left behind (Ha!). Pace will be progressive so no 'L' plates, sorry. Roads - a good mixture of minor A and major B roads to keep everyone happy and on their toes. En route re-fueling - Torrington, approx' 90 miles from the start.

UPDATE - New finish destination - The Steamer Cafe @ Re-Fuel near Willand.

If interested cut and paste the list into a new post and add your name.

For those who haven't visited Phil's amended first post the route is:-
First part to Jonesys cafe https://maps.app.goo.gl/xxa25vwqKLhERWd56
Second part to finish at The Steamer https://maps.app.goo.gl/rPD6NeqJBoEnKtzT7

Phil, please clarify; are we starting at the services or as per your route Bridge?

Just testing your powers of observation young Brian, well done. 10/10 to you, 0/10 for everyone else!
I can confirm the start as BRIDGE MOTORCYCLES. My first post now suitably amended.

It's Googlebleedinmaps playing around again. The only main road in my first leg is the A30 from just East of Okehampton to the next junction with the A396 - west of Okehampton - about 3 miles.
