So the last couple of weeks i've been working away in the garage on bringing a classic from the 90's back to life.
There's been a fair amount to go through, general tlc (it's amazing how grease and new oil will allow things to work properly).
As you can see by the pics, some of the components were in need of a bit of elbow grease but all seemed to respond favorably.
The pics aren't in any specific order, as it goes back together i'll post up more though.

Don't you just love working on Tokico 6-pots. I know how dreadful they can be
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't

Re: zx7r project
The well-known remedy for a bike blighted by the Tokico 6-pot calipers is to replace them with the Nissin (I think) 4-pots from a 954 Fireblade. A mate of mine had a very tidy K1 GSX-R1000 and he said that the caliper swap was the best mod he ever did to it.
This bike is a long-term project I feel, but worth the effort when finished, I'm sure.

Re: zx7r project
So most of you now know who's bike Simon has been working hard on now, suspension fully serviced, brakes serviced with new brake lines plus a lots extra bits that need doing, which were all over due to be done, the ZX7 went the best it's gone in a long time at Portimao! So I'd like say a big thankyou to Simon for all his hard work and made Portimao a memorable and successful trip.
Cheers Simon for a great job done would definitely recommend you!!
