Hello from dorset

Post by EddieKeyway »

Hello, I am a new rider with only two months on the bike. I ride a Keyway superlight cruiser 125cc. It is a great bike for country roads in Dorset but can really struggle on those A roads maxing out at around 65 to 67 mph. I don't have any friends who ride bikes which sucks so if there are any ride-outs in the Dorset area let me know.

Hi there Eddy, welcome to swb.

Most of us have been where you are, small bike, not much power etc. It does get better.

Soon you'll be looking at bigger bikes, taking your test and learning riding skills.

Feel free to ask questions on here and get stuck in. As for Rideouts, depending on where you are in Dorset will certainly determine if paths cross. More than likely it would be a meet up at somewhere like Westbay.

Hi Eddie, welcome to SWB!

Anyone can get a big bike and go fast but gain your experience on the road as that’s what’s important, I’ve only recently passed my unrestricted access bike test but regret not using my CBT to ride around. I just went straight in for the test without any practice so there’s nothing wrong with the 125. You’ll have the training wheels off in no time.

As billinom8s has said ask as many questions as you want and you might get a sensible answer at some point lol just kidding.

Hi Eddie. I look back on my time on my 125 when i was 17 with a lot of joy was so much fun. Also i was a total lune at a time had many crashes and should have never been on the road.....

Basically enjoy but be safe...

as Billinom8s said feel free to ask any questions that you would like if we can help you with many things either riding or servicing related. Also we do do ride outs going into Dorset but keep an eye open for the "Friendly" rides as you then know that your joining a ride and will support 125 speeds.
