SRAD-NICK's conditon

Post by Leroy »

Hey Guys and girls ......

Went up to see dad yesterday after his operation and he wasnt doing too bad. Leg was a bit painful but overall he was good.

He spent 2 hours in the recovery room (Winging like a baby i'd expect  )

Recieved a phone call from him this morning saying he had NO pain in his leg (instant relief). He has still got the back pain at the moment but thats probably due to the docs slicing him up and pulling him around

The physio has seen him today and says if he can get up and walk he will be allowed home later this afternoon. So thats good news. He has also been told that he will not be allowed to do anything at home for around 8weeks.

But if all goes well and he is active after the 8weeks (im sure he will be) u will be likely to see him out on the summer rides and maybe llandow track day :)

Good News :D Hope he's up and about quickly :)

it is VITAL that he does ALL his physio as dorected ......... my uncle (who suffers from Ankylosing Spondylitis) underwent an operation that saw him opened from base of skull to bum crack. The operation was was a success but because he failed to do his physio properly, 7 years later he is just as bad as he was.

They do not give excercises to do "for the fun of it" but because they are necessary :D

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Do what the Doc says and stay at home for the full recovery period - however hard & boring it gets........ you'll be glad in the long run
