i do think the question about soul is how you connect with a bike so it's purely subjective. My R6 for instance i think has bags of soul but that is because myself (and simon) have been through hell and back with it which has only deepended my relationship with it.
When i first got it, i wasn't so sure about the gixxer but I gradually became accustomed to it and, now that it's gone, i actually miss the [censored] and will defo buy another one if the chance arises.
I will say the bandit i have at the moment has a character but this is a cheap nasty character that can be quite fun as long as you don't push it too far...
So all of my bikes have had soul or character, i think alot of other people will say that too about their own. You can't just dismiss a type of bike because of your own personal subjective thoughts and feelings. Isn't that why we all empathise and don't have autism.
i will personally say that i don't like customs, they have never appealed to me. I prefer my riding fast and near my edge and enjoy that thrill. The sitting back and cruising idea doesn't appeal to me i'm afraid, the bandit is about as close to all of that as i was forced to go.

As said every one to there own

I have been head down go like fu(k but hey that was many years ago and I didnt worry about anything. Now I like to RELAX with the guys and galls when riding. Ok they will turn on the speed but nothing like Sports bikes a ton is fast enough

but the angle we are sitting it becomes a little uncomfortable after a hour lol.
When I had sports bikes yes I liked them and enjoyed the ride but that was it. Since I moved into the Custom Harley chop type of riding its been no comparison I wish I changed over years earlier. The concept of soul its difficult to explain unless you have experienced it ask any guy or gall that rides a Harley and you will be told the same.
Or as once written if you have to ask you will not understand.
We all ride what we ride because its how we are you do not like customs OK thats cool as long as we have keep having fun thats all that matters.
