Your hate my vids then Moose
"Hate" is a strong word. Certainly not one I'd use in this instance ....... I'd just watch a lap or so and move on
Yes Menzies had messaged me spotting the braking when I came off, few others I've spoke to said the same since, thought I had let off but think maybe panicked slightly coming into the corner and was still on them when I shouldn't have been. Learn from mistakes eh! Don't know if you watched further into the video but was moving around a little more on the bike in the last session, still need a lot of work on everything but I was happy enough for my first time out.Ruffian wrote: ↑Aug 4th, '20, 06:19 Damp day, braking fair almost looks like you were still breaking it the apex and no body movement.
On that first corner can stay a lot wider on turning in also to get you a decent run on the way out.
Looks like you enjoyed yourself still though.
Just need to move around more as then dont need to push the bike over to the edge of the tyre as far.
On a dry warm day at pembrey you can brake right to the apex. Because when the knee goes down that's my release the brake marker on that corner. But would not try it with any moisture about or on non sticky rubber.Dan_RR wrote: ↑Aug 4th, '20, 23:15Yes Menzies had messaged me spotting the braking when I came off, few others I've spoke to said the same since, thought I had let off but think maybe panicked slightly coming into the corner and was still on them when I shouldn't have been. Glad people like the format I wasn't really sure the best way to do it but thought some explanation in between would make it more enjoyable. Will try to keep it up as much as I can. Plus it gives me something to look back at in a few years time to see how I improve![]()
Cheers, will take a look tonightRuffian wrote: ↑Aug 5th, '20, 20:48 https://youtu.be/L0Y8tRNeYsE

These 3 are from a rider who won the no limits endurance championship a couple of years back. Chasing gee46 and myself.
Then showing us how to do it when he drops the hammer.
He is riding a panagale in the video but laps same time on his super twin around pembrey!!
Sometimes it's easier to watch from someone else where you go wrong where watching from your own camera can be awkward at times.

I remember talking to him last time were were there at Pembrey last year and he really helped me with a decent line around the back hairpin a was going to wide and then cutting back to get on the gas early for the straight. the better line is crack it over and turn in earlier and lift the knee so not to hit the kerb on the inside.
I think I was at about the 1.09 / 1.10 a lap mark (Pembrey old layout) on a Triumph 765 so watching the first vids with him doing around the 1.15 mark was thinking nothing special but then also realised it was the new layout format.
Then looked at the last video and watched the 1.06 lap on the old layout and oooooooo that's how you do it![]()
