I may have just the thing. Been thinking about selling my Vito for a while now. MOT is due on Monday so just waiting for a response from the garage as it needs a service too. Not sure about price yet.
I may be interested in the Vito, please keep me informed after your mot and of your plans etc.

I'm also on the look out for a van budget up to £5000

I’ve bought myself a Merc Sprinter to cart my bikes about. Love driving it but with the 313 engine it’s a little asthmatic!
Has anyone had their van remapped, did it make a difference or is it likely to become a ticking time bomb ?

Pretty much remap every vehicle I get.
VW pd engines map really well though my t5 is now 140bhp from 104bhp. But the torque got a 35% boost also. Makes driving it so much smoother as less frantic gear changes to keep it going.
Improved fuel economy when driven similar to prior to mapping is up 50miles per tank (10% improvement)
So paid for itself in about 25tanks of fuel.
The sprinters also map well but can be fragile if ragged.
The axles and half shafts can be a weak link also if heavily loaded and abused.

That’s good advice Ruffian, anyone in particular you can recommend?

Depends where you are bud.
Usually my vehicles go to vauxtech in Exeter.
Kev uses elite remaps software and always given good results.

My T5 was re-mapped by TH Performance, who loaded a Pendle re-map into it. Intriguing process, to improve both power and economy without laying a spanner on it.
Like any performance upgrade, the more you squeeze out of an engine, the less it'll last. Something like the Pendle map simply up-rates the output (from 102bhp to 140-odd) to the level that VW offer as standard for a higher premium.

I’m booked in with Superchips who it seems like many of these places complete a simple plug and play map. Looking forward to seeing the difference

I haven't had my Trafic Sport done as it's 120bhp as standard and as I spend 90% of my day in town it seemed a waste.
But I did get my Z4 20i Beemer remapped which was a simple plug and play job and that took it from stock 180 to 250, which is what BMW offer in the 28i version of the same engine. Now that, I do notice......
