Yes pretty much. I am going to get Gerry to have a good look at it and make sure it will offer a level of protection if i am going to carry on waring it.

Having just read your post on ' How safe is your gear' I'd say not very! If a mobile phone puts a whole that big in a seem think what 70mph down the road will do. Maybe time for something new not mend and make do?

Well don’t mine saying I am shocked. Having spoken to Gerry this prompted me to have a little look at the motorbike clothing rating and their standard. Turned out this jacket is an “A” rating which might sound good but in reality it means the material will be about as good as a normal pair of jeans (so rubbish for protection when sliding down the road) and has armour in elbows and shoulder. Really shocked that these jackets get what seems to be a high rating and are named at “Tractech” and given a speed hump when the reality is it’s made for trip we’re speed will be urban and below 30mph. Will not be carrying on using this jacket will be swapping to leather and getting level 2 armour.

Been quite shocked by all this and the complete lack of protection on what is supposed to be protective clothing.
