It's alongside the River Exe at the junction of the A396 and the B3227. Black Cat used to be a filling station EX16 9HX: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/The ... -3.5199796

That's the A396. Black Cat junction is with the B3227, left for Bampton and right for the "North DevonTT" to South Molton. Great roads on a Busa

We'll be doing BlackCat to SMolton as part of the route on the 20th Feb ride. Why not come out to play then?

Aaahh, ok. I think I know where that is now, thanks. One of my regular loop routes is along the B3227 to Bampton, then through town and over the bridge over the River Batherm. Onto the Tiverton road (A396), straight on at the Exeter Inn. Follow the A396 south to the A361, bit of a squirt along there, and then A38 to Wellington etc.

I have been past the Black Cat (as I now know it :) ) and up to Dunster once or twice, to come back along the A39/A358, often stopping at the Driftwood Cafe in Blue Anchor for a cuppa and a bun.

There certainly are a lot of nice roads around here but I’m only slowly getting my mojo back, and I’m certainly not that keen to press on in the wet….
