McDonalds, or anywhere warm would have been a fine thing :roll:, we had to settle for a nice soft layby in Longdown instead.

Something like that, possibly, maybe. We can't be certain 'spoons was the source, but probably. Strangely, I wasn't affected even though we both ate and drank exactly the same things. Yup, I felt dreadfull for the previous 20 miles or so and just wasn't enjoying the ride like I normally do. All the time you think it'll be better in a moment. Upset tummy, disorientation just had to lie down. Should have sent the cool breakfast back.So black mark for Wetherspoons. We were partly to blame for not complaining.
The route needs to be done again Phil.

You're right on both counts: a. We should have complained and b. We'll do the same route again - but in reverse and without calling in to the Tivvy Wetherspoons.
