Hi Garvey
Can I suggest you head over to the Lyseley - on the A4 between Chippenham and Calne - on Monday evening - from 6 on - bike night and give me a shout - there are a variety of people who go along that will be able to help you. I ride a grey cagiva raptor 650.
Those in the know can take a quick look, and may be able to help you.

Ive passed it a couple of time and saw lots of bikes but never popped in.

The next good monday night, I will pop down (if the bike makes it lol)

When I pop down you will not miss me, just look out for the old gixxer that goes click, bang boom splutter cough

OK Ive installed my Fuel tap and the bike is running a little better.
the tapping noise is still on the bike. I have tightened up all the clips on the carbs but shes still running piss poor on idle. its like shes getting blocked.

Im just building up the guts to rip the carbs out and re-install them.

Does anyone in the area have a carb balancing thing I could use? or help me out with this. already paid for 3 times to get this done

Hi it sounds like you may have an air leak on the inlet manifold hence the rough running. The noise could be cam chain, has it got an ajuster for the cam chain ?
If your not sure I would get a Suzuki Stealership to look at it.
Sorry  can't be of more help Keith

I have been told it is an air leak which I can take the carbs off and sort that out but I dont want to book the bike back in to get the carbs balanced. It looks like the floats are not set up right aswell.

when you have the carbs off to do the floats, you can very roughly balance them visually by looking at the gaps at the bottoms of the butterflys inside the throats.

check that the o-rings between the carb caps and bodies by the vacuum takeoffs are there too, these are easy to miss out when rebuilding and will let air in if theyre missing.
