If this goes ahead f**k it I'm moving country before civil war breaks out
This country got huge problems thanks to this goverment, and instead of making it better they just keep digging deeper getting in over their heads!
Whoever voted for them (I didn't) your thick! And for anyone who voted lib you should have voted cons as libs can never be in the position to run the country! (If they was we would end up like the USA

)

Bloody Government, taxes the shit out of us already!
And on another note. Any bets on how long it will take our wonderful (not!) council in Plymouth to introduce congestion charging like London does! Plymouth is getting really bad for congestion now, takes bloody 50 minutes to get 5 miles to work most mornings! The Northern part of the city (A386) is really bad now! Today it took 20 minutes just to get 1/2 mile down the road!
and this is getting more common.
[Censored] labour council and their leader, Tudor Evans, dimwitted b'stards.
<Rant over>

just to play devils advocate a minute folks heres what i've heard:
1. Its only a proposal but it is commonly excepted that something will have to be done to treduce congestion.
2. Any new mileage tax would mean the old tax discs would be scrapped and also that a large percentage of fuel tax would be taxed (depending how much this could make a huge difference)
3. The amount to pay per mile would vary (this figure of about ?1.30 has been plucked out of the air by the press basically). It is likely that for all of us in the southwest it would be fairly small as our roads do not suffer the congestion of bigger cities.
4. As its aim is to reduce congestion it is likely it would also be much cheaper for motorbikes than for cars.
5. For all you guys in ccornwall it would be even cheaper as rural areas would be charged even less.
6. No riots are needed - this government has proved itself totally incapable of implementing the simplest IT solutions so it is unlikely they will be able to implement a system to track and record every mile covered by every vehicle on every single type of road throughout GB and apply varying charges to everyone - they have been trying since 96/97 to produce a database of everyone with a gun licence and still haven't got anywhere near finishing.
sorry for another really long post

It comes back to the fact that those who use the road pay for it. Well as its always pissing down here half this lot will never use the roads. Fine weather riders will save a fortune. Us poor saps who have to ride everyday will at least have a clear run at it!.
God bless President Blair. we could always move to France.
Well maybe not

Well they have obviously given up on trying to sort out public transport so like with everything else decide to tax the $hit out of us instead!
Take the prices of trains...the price has gone though the roof...It works out cheeper for me to ride the bike there...which is what I do...if the train was cheeper I'd take the train!
Bring back Major things were allright then...this goverment has burried us in a hole which will take many many years to get out of...if not a civial war then a revolution...would love for it to be the latter but we are so taken over by forieners I can't see that happening

Prolly ending up taking arms to shoot the b*****ds which shouldn't have been let in...in the first place!
I'll be glad to get my degree and move away somewhere else...thats the smart move...before it all goes tits up!
40% of london are forieners...simple send em all back home...congestion in London...sorted LOL
60% of pouplation growth last yr was due to immigration...no wonder it's more solid than ever on the roads!
This country is growing too big for it's boots...and it's everyone in the boots who are feeling the squeeze...it's about time they slowed up the economy and gave everyone a bit of breathing space before it goes boom n bust like the good old days.
Anyway rant over we all know the real reasons for the problems that Blair keeps pasting over...but who's gonna do anything about it???

Remind me who privatised the railways, which most people now think was a bad move,............the Tories that's who.
"Boom and bust, like the good old days"...... that'll be under the Tories then.

Stay in this country and use your degree to change things. It is no use to moan about things if you are not prepared to go and do something about it.
Running away does not make things better. This is still the best country in the world to live in.
All goverments put the squeeze on those who complain the least. The tories were no better. yes immigration shoiuld be controlled but who would you turn away!
