I usually see quite a lot of bikes parked up at Henlade at that 24 hour cafe thing, is that what you are on about?

I like that idea or the Cat and Fiddle at Clyst St Mary. :)

Well there's always the Haldon Grill - although I don't know what time it stays open to

As for pubs that are biker friendly - there's the Star at Liverton that we went to quite a few pub nights last winter, and the Passage House Inn just under the A380 near Kingsteignton is good.

Marsh Barton Transport Cafe used to be a good stop-off for a greasey fry-up, and didnt charge such rip off prices as Haldon Grill last time i went there either. but that was quite a few years ago. Good for parking too.

Also Harleys Cafe in Fore Street, in the little arcade at the top of the hill on the right used to be good, parking a bit more of a problem but far as i remember theres a car park off the back of King Street thats pretty close. You gotta try their "working mans breakfast" too if you go there - its a monster!

And yeah unfortunately the Roadhouse isnt owned by the slaves any more, a shame as it was a great pub :(

Cat and Fiddle...OK
Double Locks....ok too...and they have BBQ's in the summer, with plenty of parking. (I'll repeat that for Jay's sake)...BBQ's in the summer...
Royal Oak....owned by a SWB members friend...all sound likely places to me.
May be we should try them out, and choose?
Perhaps the Double locks in summer, and one of the others for winter?
