My dad was into bikes (not sure if he was sexy mind), him helping me get a car was never really an option so I started out on bikes with a 50 when I was 16 and been on 2 wheels ever since. Only started driving a car as well once I got to mid twenties.
Dry weather only weekend rider these days. Irritates me me when people think that your not a "real" biker unless you drive in all weathers all year around.

A good mate of mine took me out on the back of his GSXR (now mine) in summer 04, after doing a very fast pillion lap of Wellington I said I had ot have one. And here we are, with the bike and license

wouldn't give it up for the world, no matter how cold or expensive it is. As its a hobbie/toy its sometimes hard to justify, until I get on it, then it makes sense.

I was shallow and saw motorcycling as a means to wider social acceptance. I am still shallow and the strategy completely failed.

both my mum and dad had motor bikes. when i was 17, beacuse i live out in the country i needed transport. got a 125 thinking it would be for about 6 month before i could get a car. 6 months came and was booked in for my test with the new in the drive way

i dont see my self getting a car anytime soon, a bigger bike is the only way.
everyones a biker, they just havn't had the chance to realise it

Dunno really, I find cars pretty damn boring and fuggly, never had an interest in them tbh. Also I grew up in St Thomas in Exeter and as you all know the road house used to be a slaves pub so id always see loads of bikes around and who can fault that they look good and sound good. Just really like bikes I guess

Wanted a bike since I was 17, House buying and families got in the way, So I thought if I don't do it now (about 10 years ago) I never will, so here I am. In direct answer to Andrews question though....I can blame Barry Sheene...used to work opposite Heron Suzuki in the 70's.
Used to see his truck regularly, started watching him on telly, wanted to do it..simple as that realy.
