what about Hailwoods great rival Agostini, a little known Finnish guy who lost his life in the seventies brilliant rider called Jarno Saarinen would get on my list
along with the great trials rider/ racer /museum owner Sammy Miller, Ivan Mauger and Ove Fundin from Speedway, the late great Dave Jeffery, Johnny Ceccotto took a standard yam racer out of the box back in the seventies and embarrased the works teams, Sheene and Roberts. to restrain the list to twenty is difficult but then everyone to their own.

See you got Bazza on top there . The man is a real icon for me . My hero . SO inspirational , and so tragically taken from us in 2003 . Anyway , nice one mate . Great list . 8) Just to echo about Merv`s post . Total respect to the guys who do the TT , and those that made the ultimate sacrifice doing it . Good to see this topic getting some response . Nice one . And yeah Barry Sheene will always be the top of any list , for me . I dont think there`s many that would argue that case . Keep em coming . 8)

i think you'll find the younger guys argueing for rossi over sheene and the older guys argue that ago was better than both. you'll never win em all but sheene tops my list with rossi then schwantz a close 2nd and 3rd. a good show of opinions on this opinions on this one fester
