just watched the repeat of this. Cool program. So basicly to have the same enjoyment with a car as you do on a bike, ie as clarkson put it actually want to go for a ride just for the sake of it, you have to spend £100,000 on a supped up merc.

Oh and get up at 4 in the morning or else you would have to sit in a traffic jam.

Yes i did see that !

Dont know why you are making a fuss, i thought it was halarious personally ! I think hes the best TV presenter out there, because he just says it how it is, and is not confined by the normal rules of conduct by the bbc !!

I thought the comment about 'so why cant human beings' was very good, he always makes me laugh ! You need to chill out and see the funny side of it, i dont think it was meant in an offensive way at all !

I personally cant stand the man, although he is a very good presenter.

Most of his anti-bike comments you just have to take with a big pinch of salt, however i cant help but think hes having a negative effect on the overall image of bikers with them.

Especially when theres so many people out there who take everything he says as written law

8) The guy is a w....r , simple as that . Why we are on a bike forum , talking about some idiot , that clearly loves cars . And not bikes amazes me . The guy is a dick always was , always will be . Rides around while on his mobile phone etc etc .

You lot should be on talking bikes , not about this tosser . 8)

The bloke is a idiot but does a great job on TOP GEAR. He makes that show what it is. If you don't agree then read he latest book. It is him all over.

The way he describes things is funny as and got a wonderful way with words. Like a poet even.

Reasons for hating bikes is 1 he got the living sh*t scared out of him on the back of one once and 2 he lives in the Cotsworlds and all over the weekends all he hears is screaming bikes zooooming past.

Well if the chap lives on a great biking road then tuff sh*t i say and get over it

Keep up the great work on the show though

Does he write his own script does anyone know ??

After watching last nights show which i thought was fab as always, i really took in what he had to say and listen to his great expressions and thought is it possible for someone to be that quick witted. I know its rehershed and what not but someone comes up with these funny as F*ck expressions and sayings.

Yes he does write his script.
He won an award recently for best unscripted programme which Jeremy was most annoyed at because he says he sits for hours thinking of a script that works and then it gets changed when the 3 guys are together & make comments.
Its always rpesented in a way that sounds unscripted and very non PC and off the cuff which i think is why it is so popular
