Have heard a few things in the pub and apparently one of the lads was a realy nice kid and the other was a complete piece of scum.

Yes that's the trouble with society to day. The short sharp shock is always the winner in my books.

Make the penalty severe enough stuff like this would not stop it but I am sure it would be drastically reduced. !!!

ill get off my box now before I go into overdrive lol

Having three young kids I can imagine the loss their families must be feeling, BUT, that said they were doing something really stupid, besides illegal. Parents have to shoulder some of the blame for their kids actions. My kids (4 1/2, 3 1/2 and 18 months ) are no angels all the time but we spend a lot of time instilling acceptable behaviour and respect for others and their property. Its NEVER too young to start.

it's sad to see people lose their lives in this way but the fact that they had nicked it means they will get no sympathy from me.
the problem these days is kids very rarely want to work hard to earn anything when it is a lot easier to knick something and the penalty is normally non existent.

Agreed. Took me 5 years to save up for my new R6... and there is no denying I'm sure I could have gotten one sooner had I stolen one!

I don't wish death to every thief that steals a bike, but two broken arms would make me smile, and at least stop them for a little while.
