If you went with your head all the time you wouldn't even ride a bike ;) go with your heart you will love it more though your head might regret it; And you only regret the things you didn't do...

i think the hornet is the most 'sporty' of the 600's, as it basically is just a slightly de-tuned cbr. Ive heard of people getting accurate 100bhp+ at the rear wheel. Only real problem is the early models (pre 2000) only had 16" front wheel instead of the 17" and a tiny fuel tank.

Monster 600's are shockingly underpowered.

I'd go with the hornet. :)
i dont have a drinking problem.......if anything, i'm too good at it

going on your track record with bikes, mechanical ability and willingness to look after your bikes i would say, get a boyfriend with a bike instead. failing that go for the bandit - safer bet and more fun :D

Well for my guess, my head would say Hornet, a bit more modern, the Monster would be a heart thing regardless of whether it makes less power than the others amd lets face it there are few people out there that ride their bikes to 100% of the bikes ability, a well ridden smaller bike won't be far behind a more powerful bike being ridden by the average rider and they just look good and sound good, if its outside then a cover will fix that, maybe a bit more maintenance to keep it looking better but they do sound awefully nice......... :)

 I know it's not on your list, but how about an SV650?
You'll get the V twin experience & the jap reliability.

+1 or a vfr400.
Blue Sv650s Curvey - Now unrestricted but starting to find the suspension a problem.
Next bike: CBR600RR eventually.

To be fair, I think Funky was taking the p*ss out of my random suggestion, rather than offering the Vmax as a genuine option.

Alright Fluffy!

I'd go for the best example that you can afford, of any of the suggestions made. No question the Monster is less powered than the Hornet for example, but still good fun! Early Hornets can still be found in pretty good nick and for not much £££ if you look around....

One things for sure, riding is much better NAKED....!!!

the bike, I mean THE BIKE!! tut tut

First get yer leg over  :D  ........

Either go to a dealers or find some nice biker somewhere who will allow you to sit on any or all of the bikes you are interested in.... if you're like my misses you may well find that either your legs are too short for some bikes or your 'chesticles' get squashed on the tank

My opinion....................bandit cheap to run/repair easy to modify and make into your own style.
