Well that says it all.

I suppose you would recoil in horror at the merest suggestion that you actually use the bike itself for travelling.

Yeah, thought so

*Bows down*

You really are the almighty when it comes to anything biking.

If he wants a camper van, let him! Jesus, your replies as so predictable. As soon as i saw you had quoted him on the camper van thing, i knew it had to be a negative reply. Know why that is? Because you cant say a positive thing to anyone can you?

well you know my view on it anyway...

but for the benefit of the uneducated masses.

got to be the gsxr...its a touring bike, a track bike, a fast road bike, a great wheely bike...its easy to ride fast and have engines that make the competition feel uninspiring. Its a killer track bike and it does that without making tons of concessions elsewhere, meaning you can use it one day at the sharp end of a trackday then the following week just adjust the suspension setting back to something a bit more road friendly drop your reasets down and do a 5,000 mile tour of europe on it in relative comfort.

There aint a better all round bike (in my opinion)...hasnt been since they started making them. GSXR thou everytime.

the only downside is they arent the best looking bikes and can be a bit generic looking in blue and white. But on a list of things I want from a bike thats about the lowest priority anyway.

Build yourself a GSXR750K5 Streetfighter, small nose fairing to keep some of the windblast off you, comfortable riding position for doing distances on, cracking performance and handling, and more than enough power (134bhp at the wheel) which can be used properly round the twisties, an all round properly quick fighter. I'm extermely happy with mine.

Isn't there a problem with the frames cracking on the GSXR1000K5's & the GSXR750K6's.

It would take alot of convincing for me to buy one of those, not that i would want a sportsbike anyway. :?

Buy the R1. It may be fugly, but it's supposed to be a great ride with V2 style power delivery and IL4 top end, also sound awesome with decent pipes on it.

And should the worst happen you can always make a good living from cutting hair.....

K5 and K6 1000's - there where recorded cases in the US which bought about the frame mod recall. Most on stunt bikes which had been thrown on the ground umpteen times.

none in the UK I dont think. Myself and a million and one other owners never had a problem, regardless of how hard they are ridden.

But I guess If you have a tendancy to ride into walls at speed and wanted one it would maybe be worth making sure you get one which has had the recall.
