Thanks mate, I wasnt sure if I liked it or not when I ordered it but people seem to notice it so s'ok!.. The helmet was only £120 of ebay and I've only ever seen one other like it. It's comfy etc but im lookin to buy another one soon as my mate nocked it off the back of my bike the otherday.deej wrote:Tom, I like your lids graphics
All that crap about renewing your lid after dropping it is an old wives tale IMO. Unless ur worried about the paintwork being scratched keep itTom1528 wrote:Thanks mate, I wasnt sure if I liked it or not when I ordered it but people seem to notice it so s'ok!.. What would you guys reccomed? I know I should just go and try a load on.. but what ones are good value for money, can stick race visors on em and are generally decent lids? Thanks, Tom.
that's just not right, a seemingly light impact onto a hard surface can weaken the outer shell and make it less effective in a crash, you can get helmets reconditioned after an off by some manufacturers, but i think they x-ray and ultrasound the shell to make sure it's not been weakened.delvey91 wrote: All that crap about renewing your lid after dropping it is an old wives tale IMO. and when the stuff under the outer shell takes impact, it stays like it, so that area will be weakened. And it's not the first time my helmet's been dropped.webster wrote:that's just not right, a seemingly light impact onto a hard surface can weaken the outer shell and make it less effective in a crash, you can get helmets reconditioned after an off by some manufacturers, but i think they x-ray and ultrasound the shell to make sure it's not been weakened.delvey91 wrote: All that crap about renewing your lid after dropping it is an old wives tale IMO. I've always wanted an Arai RX7, finally saved the 500 smackers for it then tried it at the shop and it was the most uncomfortable thing ever, just didn't fit my head.ZXR400Lee wrote:Managed to smash in the back of my Arai Condor in my accident.. and now I've ended up with a [Censored] huge scar in the back of my head!
Before getting a new lid again I tried every single brand.. expensive brands.. not cheap crap.. I wanted a Shoei MultiTec.. because I wanted a Flip-Lid.. but they wouldnt fit on my head properly..Must have tried 20 different helmets.. but it would seem that only Arai fit my head comfortably!
