OK then .... :D

Any bike can be a "girls bike" if it's ridden in a girly way, however many cc's ... it's down to the rider, not the bike.

My bike's 850cc ... so does that mean that 850s are girls bikes too? 8)

I'm guessing your mate either doesn't ride or is making up for deficiencies in another area

Personally I think anyone who rides a bike that is under a 1000cc, should be shot at dawn and it just means they are not man enough to have something with power.

There all going on and on like little girls saying how powerful the new 600 range is now, but thats them just trying to think big and act hard when in fact they are all probably like jelly.

What a bunch of G I R L I E S for riding a machine thats only 600 and 750 in cc
Do I detect a hint of Sarcasm there Phil... :?

600's are awsome, anyone whos has ridden one will tell you the same!
My 600RR is just fantasic, every time i get off it i have a massive grin on my face.
The best thing about 600's is giving them a thrasing and having to work it through the gears, instead of just winding on the power, don't ge me wrong the bigger bikes are awsome too, but for me the 600's /750's are i a league of their own.

Its a motorbike, and there are plenty of girls who can ride faster than me...

Have had 600's and loved them. remember jumping of a GT750(shaftie) and swapping it for a GPX600R, went to overtake a car like I was used to on the GT and went flying past 3 cars. Ooops..

Swapped a ZX6R for a CB900 to slow down. Ended up riding the 900 the same as the 600 hitting rev limiter from 2nd to 5th quite a lot. I'm not interested in 1000cc supersports as honestly can't see using the full potential on roads safely. Prefer naked 1000s as the windblast tends to keep away silly speeds. Will say I do prefer the torque of the 1000, being able to ride in most gears and ovetake at a blip of the throttle. My last 600 was a screamer and was up and down the box loads. Considering thats from 10 years ago todays current crop have come on leaps and bounds.

Fully agree with this. I've had an 03 R1 and now have an 07 R6. The whole revvy nature of a 600 makes it more fun then the R1 (in my opinion). Granted, if I was going to use the bike daily, the bigger engine would win everytime. But for weekend/ summer fun, you can't beat a 600.

i dunno, i use mine every day and never find myself without power (and the daytona 600 isn't exactly known for being the most powerful 600 around), it's not hard to flick your foot down as your speed drops, keep your revs above 5000 (which with a 14k redline isn't exactly high) and it'll quite happily b*gger off with barely a flick of the wrist.

plus 600's tend to be quite a bit lighter with a more centralised mass so handle better

I had a Fireblade for 8 years until I wrecked it in October :( . I absolutely loved it, and planned to buy an R1 to replace it, but have just bought an R6 because it is so much fun. I prefer the torque of the thou, it's fantastic for wheelies, and in that respect the 600 has no chance.

However, the 600 is a nimble revvy little bugger which makes me laugh every time I ride it, different sort of fun really. And the noise it makes at high revs with a race can is hugely satisfying.

The performance available from either is more than most riders can actually use, but that's not what it's really about is it?
