Have you ridden the B-King ? What impressed me most about it was that despite being naked, the design actually makes it feel like a faired bike. You sit in it, and the bodywork wraps around you. I've owned faired bikes most of my riding life and bizzarly, at motorway speeds I felt the B King a lot more comfortable than nearly everything I have owned in the past. Granted, if you were to max it out you'd be hanging on for dear life, but that would be the case for any naked. Most of them are capable of 150 ish mph but in reality, anything over 90 for any period of time would be unbearable without weather protection. Perhaps there is no point to high powered nakeds at all ? As far as the B-King is concerned, it's the midrange that is so awsome and I doubt there is much in this class it wouldn't leave for dust on real roads with a good rider on board.Princess wrote:Well theres no point in having a bike with an engine that can push nearly 200mph standard, then taking away its wind protection........
A matter of opinion. I hated the B King when it first came out, but it's grown on me.Princess wrote:Moose is correcto moondo, looked awesome to start off with then they farked it right up...
I also think that price reductions and tempting finance deals might have had something to do with it. I don't believe that a bike suddenly starts selling just because they put different cans on it.Princess wrote:MT-01 is a strange one, I was working with Yamaha at the time, when they were released, they sold feck all but I've seen quite a few around now. They started selling alot when sold with akro cans and set up kit....
I like them, soooo much torque....revs upto 5k or something stupidly small but what a pull....
