i would say quite a way down otherwise ay bumps you go over in the trailer, the bike suspension will compress causing the straps to go slack

nick, im not sure if its a reduced rate with the tag or not,haynes dump a ton on it at a time and off i go. check out http://www.severnbridge.co.uk and see what informations available there


blue, tighten the ratchets down as much as you can really but remember to slacken them off asap as its not good for fork seals to leave them strapped down over night

I have just put mine on the trailer, and i have compressed her right down at the front and back, to save it bouncing around, also i have put a strap on the front brake too, to stop any fwd/aft movement of the bike too.

Blue, be careful when ratcheting down that you don't crush the lower fairings against the trailer.

Me and Bimbo both had a couple of nice gouges on ours after over exuberant cranking... :roll: :oops:
