Hmm, you wont have much fun on a honda CG

When you hang off you dont really need to stick ya knee out mind, your centre of weight is still well off the side

Becuase it allows you to have pics like this taken...

And that gives you bragging rights!!

In all serious though, there really is little need for it on the road - the only time you really can is a roundabout, and thats either just to learn how it feels, or show off!

I found that on the track though, i was definatly starting to use it as a guide as to how far over i was!

i didnt put my knee down all day, in fact, have never put my knee down., ok, it means i don't have any pics like the one of varcon.

but i also have no chicken strips and ride in a faster group than varcon - :D :D :D

i fully recognise that the cool kids think its trendy to get ya knee down and that aswell as scars, chicks dig scraped sliders. this may well be so but chicks are also known to be distracted by shiny things and alcohol

when it all comes down to it tho, its not if you can get your knee down or not its whether chicks like what you do with ya cock.

if they do - sod scraping plastic on tarmac :D :D :D

its all photoshop and sandpaper, no one actually gets their knee down

I think I'm unlikely to ever get my knee down, I never have before, but at my age I don't think I can swivel my leg out far enough sideways even if the bike was leant over far enough
I ride the busa pretty hard and get it cranked over well enough... if I could just get my old bones to cooperate!

I find that hanging off gives you more stability...especially in the wet...last time I was out on the rain I applied the hanging off that I'd learnt on the track and was able to keep the bike pretyt upright but still get round the corners ok. Not touched the kneedown on track yet, but am booking another couple of track days in July so hopefully get a bit more speed on and will get it down soon! The body/head position etc is more important than actually scraping though...but yeah allows you more speed through the corners without running out of tyre. Will definitely be posting a bragging picture as soon as that shiny unscuffed slider hits the tarmac!!!!!!!!!! :D

Apologies in advance if I'm being a bit necky as I don't ride YET, but this business of getting your knee down to me is just for show offs, posers and bragging rights......................which is why I'll be trying it as soon as I'm comfortable and experienced on two wheels haha. For as long as I can remember I've always thought that it's what bikers strive towards, a goal if you like (sportsbike riders anyway?) :?

eventually you get to a point where its basically impossible to avoid knee down...this pic is grinding my fairing, my knee slider and my leathers with my knee pulled in out of the way to try and stop it...and even with my rearsets set as far back and up as they would go my rear break lever was grinding to the point that I had to remove it.

if you ride a sportsbike and want to ride it like its meant to be ridden then eventually your gonna have to put your knee on the deck...
