No it was me that took your bike for noise testing lol I know he was the licencse holder for pembrey but I didn't like they're attitude,he was miserable and told me off for not wearing protective clothing, I couldn't even walk in a straightline let alone ride on track ffs I was only doing you a favour and also him by getting your bike past testing before you paid up lol

It wasn't quite upto the professionalism of a motorsportvision circuit or run as well as a nolimits/hottrax day in my eyes

i have plenty of experience of doningtons 500k noise machine, the guy monitoring it was so very very helpful and kept me and my sp1 on track all day long, his attitude was spot on and completely the opposite of how that miserable old git spoke to me when i got your TL tested. it was like i was being a pain in the arse for asking him to do his job and save him any hassle

R6 with a standard can is 104db
Can say it was definatly crap. Track was really good but it was waay overbooked. There were 68 bikes over 7 groups. Each group got 10 mins. So it was an hour wait before you got back out.
And because I hadn't done a trackday there before they put me in the slowest group and wouldn't move me up, so had no one to play with and lapped half of them every session.
I got 3 runs from 10-1 then we stopped for lunch until 2. Then it started pissing down went out for 1 wet session then went home.
40 minutes of track time for £131. Definatly not going back.

Sounds terrible. Although less than 10 bikes on track could be good but 10mins is not enough as I suppose that includes going out for a warm up lap aswell as time for your cooling down laps, so you cant had got much more than 5mins actual track time. I guess the bike limit is due to the noise police who decided to buy a house near a race track

Yep 10 min session inlcluded 2 warm up laps which in the slow group were just that. But the cool down laps we were told to just do a normal lap but pull into the pits after the 3rd chicane.

Oh yes that I did that was awesome fun, absoloutly shattered, no mirrors or indicators, lifesavers were an effort. So much spray you couldn't see 20m infront. I sat in the inside lane doing 50

So what race tracks would peeps recommend that are both car and bike friendly and don't actually give two flying fecks about this crappy noise level BS. A sticky might be a good idea of suitable race tracks with prices listed also advising peeps of those bad ones to stay away from.

Bad luck steve, that sounds awful and unlike what most peeps say about the castle

Llandows the only circuit that I've not seen a noise tester at and I do wonder for how much longer. All the big popular circuits are restricted nowadays and the limits supposed to be getting lower next year to 102db on noisy days

Bad luck, that's not been my experience of Castle Combe and to be honest I like the fast bumpy nature of it plus have no issues with the noise tester, in all honesty found them really friendly and helpfull everytime i've been there...

Noise testing wasn't an issue at Snetterton yesterday and last time out at Pembrey they didn't bother....not done Llandow yet.

Noise is the reason I leave the standard mahosive can on the K5, it aint pretty but it gurantees track time and is so large and round it acts as a fab crash bung in an off.....

Had no problem with the noise tester just shocked at how loud the standard can was.

I loved the track, no problems with the bumps except for one nasty one on the last corner banked right over. Just the ridiculous amount of groups and the long wait before going back out.

Think I've been spoiled by llandow.
