Hi guys, don't wonna poke my nose in where it's not wanted so feel free to tell me to p1ss off, you don't need to rebuild the bottom end only the head so that'll be cheaper anyway & you wont need a hole set of shims you can mix n match & only buy a what you need, if some are to big you could lap them down to save money as well. As you can see I'm a cheap skate.

cms in exeter used to do a service where you could trade in shims and exchange them for required sizes.
don't know if they still do or not

And why do you need to replace all 16 valves - you only mentioned two cylinders, so thats 4 - 8 valves max

Get them all out and roll them on a face plate (or pice of float glass) - you might only end up needing one or two valves

I never said anything about replacing all 16! thats price each, a few I've pulled out are badly worn around the collet area making them difficult i.e needed knocking through the valve guide!
cheers for the offer Deej but paid the chap now and all in was 35 inc postage with cams, valves shims etc result! just hope its ok!
Prob just gonna bolt it on and get it going

Right well
Fitted a cylinder head along with new head gasket, base gasket, iridium plugs, exhaust gaskets, emissions block off plates, new oil filter and Motul oil, various new o rings, new engine mounting bolts and a new Afam 15t front sprocket.
All back together and took it for a ride and all goes really well! feels much better partly due to the sprocket I suspect.
I've decided thou after much deliberation to part with the bike and put my biking days temporarily aside until finances have improved and get something else - damn recession still taking its toll!
anyway its up on Ebay now
