Funny you should both mention that.

Only yesterday myself and Wifey were discussing emigrating. She can take her pick as she is a teacher, and I could become a drunk. Cool huh?

Then I could moan about everything, with my whisky bottle in hand (no glass  ).

My only problem with South of France............... full of bloody French :)) :)) :)) ( actually not quite true, I beleive its mostly populated by English fed up with crap English weather, who decide moving somewhere warm is a good idea ;) :-o )

I'm off to the Philippines for three weeks in September, can't wait! At least when it rains there its still warm ;) Shame i can't take my bike, but I can't afford the excess baggage fee's :D ......

I don't think it's that bad in the uk, ok so we don't get a good summer and it rains...lots but would you really want to live somewhere with earthquakes and other horrendous storms and wildfires which damage your property/bikes/cars (and all those poor animals!) along with anything else it wants? Yes, we get flash floods, and rare reports of slight earthquake tremors but we should be glad that is all we get! I quite like the uk, and no I'm not saying that because i'm an illegal immigrant stealing the uk benefits, i am a uk born citizen i tell you! :p

All very commendable Lou and I'm sure in more rational moments we all love Blighty :)): but this is the 'get it off your chest' thread and we're all feckin fecked off with the fact that June was the wettest on record and it doesn't look like it's gonna get any better for the foreseeable. So I for one feel like having a bit of a tantrum!!! :(( :(( :((

Here's something that made me laugh though (sorry, it's a bit sweary if that offends anyone...)

My previous comment Kate was more a comment to the poeple talking about emigrating =:)

I'm not saying i'm not pissed off with all this rain, cause it is getting a little boring now! I'm supposed to be camping in cornwall in two weeks...i get rained on every year so looks like this isn't going to be any different! Maybe this year i'll need to take a rubber dinghy with me though, but i have been wise - i haven't booked anywhere yet as i want to see the forecast, if it is quite wet i'm just not going to bother, i've had enough of being soggy when camping :/ hmmmpft *sulks in corner*
