Have you considered a different style of bike?
Always had sports bikes, not sure what else would float my boat to be honest.

Superduke 1290 might be an option, bit pricey for me though!

It was just a thought when you said the sportbikes are no longer doing it for you. I did read a comment from a sportbike owner who had switched to a Superduke and found it far more suited to UK roads and much more fun.
It doesn't necessarily need to be a Superduke (but they are the best

), I was thinking about any naked/streetfighter type, or an Adventure, a large capacity Sumo (or hypermoto I guess they are) or even (god forbid) a cruiser.
Just try something different and see if that reinvigorates motorcycling for you.

It's just the natural order of the universe playing out. Eventually all bikers tend towards a KTM.

Cruiser not for me, fz1 or similar perhaps? Have a ktm Rc8 already so the 1290 Super Duke seems a natural choice, but not looking at spending 12k on a bike to be honest.

The earlier Gen' 1 and Gen' 2 Tuono's with the V twin Rotax engines are v' good hooligan tackle too, and now very affordable.

Until it starts spending all its time in bits and a constant drain on the bank balance KTM = keep taking money

Picked up a winter project yesterday, just needs a light fettling really, and a few little repairs.
Can finally get my license now.
