Well I see usual service has happened.
Every single week day for weeks has been sun shine. When we have road rides planned at the weekend it pisses it down with rain. Book a track day and the day after the track day is fine but the day I book........
Pissing it down with rain.........
Yet again track day cost, bike hire cost, hotel cost will literally be going down the drain.

Not if you get out in the wet and enjoy it
You need to learn to ride in the wet or the fast dry lap times are worth nowt
Pembrey is nice and grippy in the wet.

Am I being dim here or does the bike hire cost not include an option to run wets? Seems a bit shortsighted to only offer road tyres in this country of unpredictable weather.
You might not be sraping your knees and elbows in the wet (or you may, I don't know how fast you are), but as Shammy says you'll learn just how much grip you do have in wet conditions which just may help stop you having bum clenching moments if you're on a SWB rideout and you encounter rain. Not impossible, given where we live.
I'm not fast in the wet (or the dry, come to that), but having confidence in the tyres capability in the damp means I can ride all year round if I fancy.
I don't think it'll be money down the drain.....unless you stay in the hotel room looking out the window with your face to the sky, fingers crossed whilst doing a sun dance

Yep, from what i've been lead to understand you get wets and a suspension tweak to account for the weather change.

You learn more in the wet than you do in the dry, so just grow a pair and get out there.

To answer the question from earlier in the thread yes Small Boys hire bikes offer a full service and will be more then happy to swap to wet tyres...... however I donβt do wet. I ride on track for fun and riding in the wet is not fun so I donβt do it.
However I am happy to report that only session 1 got rained off the other 5 sessions were dry and I had a great day and managed to massively improve my lap time down to 1:06 per lap. If you want to watch how I did follow the link to my YouTube channel in my signature as every session is recorded.
