Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

LEAVING HERE APPROX 05:15

From there Badger will lead the ride, he has promised to keep it sensible, unlike last year when it would appear he got spooked having people follow him and he tried to get rid of us.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE FUELLED UP WHEN YOU GET TO YOUR MEETING POINT

We will be running a LEADER, TAIL END CHARLIE and DROP OFF JUNCTION MARKER setup so as not to lose anyone.

EVERYONE WILL TAKE PART IN THE DROP OFF SYSTEM - MAKES THE DAY RUN SMOOTHER AND WE DON'T LOOSE ANYONE.

LEADER FROM EXETER TO DRUM BRIDGES - colin(rsv4Col)
LEADER FROM DRUM BRIDGES - SIMON(billinom8s)
LEADER FROM LANDS END - JOHN(BADGERKDD)

TAIL END CHARLIE ??????

ALL RIDERS WILL BE ASKED TO JUNCTION MARK, if you have never done this before don't panic. All you have to do is stop when the ride leader points to a junction, make sure you stop before the junction so everyone knows when to turn.
Then just sit back and wait for the TEC (tail end charlie) to come past - you may have a bit of a wait as the ride can get broken up sometimes, depending on how many riders we get.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T LEAVE THE JUNCTION UNTIL TEC COMES THROUGH, THIS WAY WE WILL NOT LOOSE ANYONE.
OTHER PEOPLE WILL BE RELYING ON YOU FOR A GOOD DAY AS MUCH AS YOU ARE RELYING ON THEM FOR THE SAME.

FOR THOSE WORRIED ABOUT FUELLING

EXETER - ST GERMANS - 56 MILES
ST GERMANS TO ST AUSTELL - 26 MILES
ST AUSTELL TO LANDS END TO PENZANCE - 62 MILES

ROUTE -
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid= ... 5,0.441513" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think that is all.

I will try to ride the St Ives to Menzpants -via St. Just/Lands End on Thursday evening to check its condition. I'm pretty busy this week but I'll do my best to find an hr to blast some cow shit roads. I'm hoping the predicted dry weather this week, mixed with the tourist coaches will do a little mud clearing for us ;) !

i'll do a quick AA roadcheck to make sure the roads around St Awful are road work free as i won't have time to check them before Sunday.

general synopsis for Sunday's weather is looking good so far though :D

Don't think I can make this one, bikes still not ready, so close but getting MoT, Tax, insured and finished before Sunday is a bit too little too late, gotta love being reduced to part time hours after accident. Hope everyone has fun, if I can make it I will be there.
