One little point (climbing on the soap box for 5 mins) :p

I am conscious that the JM do have a hard job on these rides as there job is to get from the back to the front without offending anybody. It is well documented that I got this very wrong on the ride in April and was going way to fast for the ride. Hence my black ball status on this ride. (yes i was a c*ck  )

However can I please ask that people watch their mirrors.....

You know the little red arm bands the JM were wearing??? they are there fore a reason. If you see a bike behind you in your mirrors and the person has an arm band on. He needs to get past you back to the front. Hence a good idea is move over to the left a bit and wave him / her through. That way the JM does not have to do an overtake move on you to make progress.

Having watched several JM caught behind people for miles at a time it was clear that the JM's did not feel comfortable going past, meaning the lead bike starts to run out and the ride has to be stopped.

Just for your consideration.....................

ok that's me done......

Will get off my soap box now

Now, I wasn't on the Rideout, as I was still snoring in bed when you left Tiverton, having been working til 5.30.

However, you are welcome to ride either of my bikes with me following, and if you are able to tell anything more than there is another bike there, let alone whether I'm wearing a 2 or 3" band on one server, I'll buy you a pint. Generally I just see a bright headlight following.....

Indeed, this is clearly the case for more than just me, as poor KawiKris is feeling guilty for not stopping, when he was not a (arm banded) junction marker and only on his second ride.......

Anyhoo, feel free to ignore this because, as I said, I wasn't there ..........

Lets not over analyse too much! Mistakes may have been made by some, myself included, but no major hiccups. a few newbies both to friendlies and JM so bound to be some issues. Nobody was hurt and other than mr red5 ( what a plonker :ymhug: )taking charge we all ended up together. Enjoy the moment peeps and see it for what it was, a social day out

Just want to say thanks to Simon for a great route, and the junction markers and marshals. It was my first ride out so I didn't quite understand the procedure.
