You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.

Tis a great shame, but for exactly the reasons you state i think its the right decision ..... Co-ordinating and keeping together 30-40 bikes in the rain, over a distance of 350-400+ miles, would be a logistical nightmare :(


Plus I've only got the MV at present, and i don't really want that to get wet .... :oops:

Yeah I was trying to stay hopeful of a sudden change in the forecast but I think that's unlikely :cry: .....

I'll check which weekend I don't have the kids and that will be my option. I will contact Mr Sullivan and let him know whats happening tomorrow.

And I've just got a new front tyre fitted plus bought new front pads all ready to fit tomorrow, all that just to be in tip top condition for Sunday...........Boo fuggin' hoo :evil: .......

Ok, I can't make 11th or 18th but thanks for letting us know. I'll abandon my virgin hunt. Wasn't having any luck anyway :wink:

Good call Si, wouldn't have done it if it had been raining. Sorry when it rained!!!!
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Shame but the right decision. Got the bike mot'ed though so that's a good thing. Don't think I can make the revised dates :( Oh well there's always next year.

Ahhhhhh pants! :( Blimmin crappy UK weather!

Tis the best decision though, the thought of such a mega long ride potentially in the wet doesn't do it for me much :roll:

Yeah....as above sad but wasn't looking forward to rainy morning riding... shame we didn't set it up for last Sunday would have been perfect!!!
Damn this summer weather...
I've voted for 18th too, Bank Holiday would be a no go, as I work in retail and they don't 'do Bank Holidays' apparently so I'd be working... :D
