Your water-cooled 125 was still quicker than my air cooled ER model. But mine had square clocks which made it better

Had a ts100er, with marzocci(?) shocks and a k&n air filter, so there!!!

I don't see myself as old yet but I took my test on a 250 Honda 1965 . the examiner just stood in one place I had to go up the road about a hundred yards turn round come back and take a left can't remember if I had to do an emergency stop but I think I remember him asking me what caused a skid.
Of course although I am still quite young my memory is not was it was I think so I could be heading for old age.

I had an TS125ER bought for £50 with bent forks and buckled front wheel, fixed it up and put it back on road, took my test on it (didn't have the money for a decent 250) 6 days after my 17th birthday, i loved it and on 90° bends could just scrape the pegs, unbelievable no fear at that age.

Was short of time to do the test on a 250 before they ended that era.
Bought a GP100 to be safe and was one of the first 2 part tests. £211 from MST Honda and Massey Ferguson dealers on Marsh Barton.
Got a KH250 shortly after for £450 from Kelvin at Bridge when they were at Verney Street.
(buy the way, they have shot up in price recently!)

Did mine on a 250 2T.

Spotted the examiner down the road and popped it into N at about 25 mph. Covered both brakes and...

... he leapt out from hiding raising his arm for the emergency stop. I stopped 'on a sixpence', both feet down and arms folded. Easy game !

Tis a bit of a faff to get on two wheels propper... I've done mod 1&2 twice.(A1 and A2) Can't say i found the tests hard compared to car or class 2 Theory tests are a [bar steward] though!

Think people my age are more intrested in £1000 iphones or whatever. Weirdos the lot of em
