I guess if you tried to accelerate by just rolling on from 30mph in top gear without changing down then alot of cars would overtake you....and ricky does keep reffering to roll on acceleration.

but why would you do that? the things a light 650cc bike, its not the way its meant to be ridden to make it go quick..... you just change down a few gears and accelerate through the box like the bikes meant to in which case as Moose points out it definately is alot faster than your average sportscar. Cars aren't bike quick - if your getting whupped by them its because your doing something wrong.

Off the line the Sv is much quicker but from a roll on about 30mph the car is faster. It is an S2000 GT MK2.

Obviously supercars will leave the sv standing as long as they can get their power on the ground.

Jesus just change down a couple gears and nail hell out of it - forget same gear roll ons . Unless your doing the wrong side of 120 that car should not stand the slightest chance accelerating from any speed up to it. :lol:

got to agree with jason on this one ricky

your sv should be able to walk all over the s2000 if ridden properly. drop it down 3 gears and nail it, tbh if your rollong on from 30 you should be in 2nd if not 1st. :D :mrgreen:

Ok, with those stats the s2000 doesn't stand a chance. But it was a mk2 that was made 2003/2004 onwards, I think they are a little more powerful but wouldn't affect those stats much.

I guess it must be me! I am still new to biking and I hardly know what gear I am in. :roll: I am a bit lazy and tend to change up at around 6000rpm and down at 3500rpm rather than counting gears.

On topic - have fun with the r6 and keep legal.

even on the v-twins ive owned they dont get lively til after 6000rpm, this low down torque talk is crap, rev the tits out of it and ride it how it should be ridden....
