End it....
I wish I'd have seen yours, thats a fecking fast corner to run off on!
Around 110 - 115mph...

According to the crowd of spectators on the main bank, I went 'Airborne' at least 5 times...

Just kept saying to myself ' Keep it upright and don't brake' after a few hundred metres I actually came to a stop... :D

Got loads of praise from the marshall whilst lining up for the next session, he called it 'Save of the Day' ... :P

Just before you go into that, at the 'kink' on the straight after the old hairpin.

woodlands...worst corner to crash on or run onto the grass by a long way....honda curve follows.

woodlands unerves me on than track its is a seriously quick. I have only ever ran onto the grass through the left hand section after hatchettshairpin ....but managed to stay tarmac bound for the whole day on friday for once.

Another good trackday – it’s much more enjoyable with a big group, so thanks all.

Nick you were lucky/unfortunate with the grass tracking antics – you should ride with Kie, then we can call you Mr flymo and the Qualcast kid. :)

I did enjoy battling with Julian and baiting him at the hairpin.

Do need to get fitter as got a bit sloppy at the end and my neck and shoulders were as stiff as hell in the morning. Thought it was because I slept wrong but if Jason was suffering from the braking then may be it was that.

Looking forward to the photos Dynamight and sorry for the snoring Blimey.

A few pembrey statistics, well 2 actually

Total distance covered 118.2 miles.

97 db ( at 7000rpm ) is what a bog standard cbr600rr makes.

There were 2 other statistics at pembrey which I’m sure were noticed by all that went   :D :D

Quite loud even with the stock pipes! Kellys bike was only 98db with her Akra can with straight through baffle, Simons R1 was 98db with straight through race can!

Forgot to ask, how did the rearsets do?

P.S. I am uploading your pics now.

Thanks for the fab pics gav 8) 8) , really appreciate all the effort you put in to them. Fingers crossed I never reward you for your patience by cart wheeling my bike over the safety fencing

As for my rear sets, I never got my pegs down, they worked a treat. Either that or I need to go a whole lot quicker  .

I’m not sure how it works, but isn’t 98db twice as loud as 97??. Simon may have a straight through race can, but he had stuffed it full with curlers. :D :D

Spoilsport!

Yeah go quicker...

Simon actually used a new GHD baffle, ultra quiet, heats up in seconds. Didnt you see his silky smooth hair?

As it happens the professional photographers just put up their pics too: http://www.edpphoto.com/galleries.htm

the rearsests should make you go quicker with the extra clearance you can carry more corner speed,im sure if they'll help you brake any later though        :P :P :P

Funny you say that. Simon asked if he could borrow my genny, I thought maybe for warmers or power tools. But no, he was doing a small cash job during the lunch break.. A cut, perm then blow dry. £35 thank you very much. Keeps the r1 on track I suppose   :D :D
