I am hoping to join in and say hello but the maps don't seem to work on my iPhone, is that cos I am being a bit thick!?

Alas i allways work sundays so cant go but would defo be up for a sat ride out

Not thick - they just plain don't work on iPhones! Try a laptop if you can

Looks good to me, as long as I dont drown in the River dart Raft race the week before, I should be up for this

Any idea what time you will be in West Bay. If I can make it I will join you there as it's just down the road from home.

What time roughly do you think you will get to West Bay? If I can make it, I will join you there as it's minutes from home.

i reckon if we manage to get away from the start at 10 then we should be at WB for 1045

well we drove the route today, all seems clear and fine. There are a couple of things to pass on to you though.

Firstly, there is about 10-15 miles of dull carraigeway but we have to do that to get about.
Secondly, when we got to Sparkford Motor Museum i went in and had a look at the cafe, to say it's small would be an understatement, you cannot get access to the cars unless you pay to go through the turnstile. Plus they don't seem to do much in the way of meals. Alternatively a couple of miles down the road there is a fuel stop with a McDonalds, i know it's not the best food in the world, i use the word food lightly here.

It's up to you really.

I think Smiler and a few others found a nice cafe at Compton Abbas airfield - as a possible alternative... Not sure McDonalds have realised the potential customer base for cake yet!!
