Since getting the rear loop into position I have been working on the seat pan and a few ideas for the undertray.
(I've recently made the undertray out of steel so will get some pics of that soon)



My only concern is that I may need to add some bracing under the seat before welding the undertray in place, especially as it's going to be supporting two people at times - thoughts anyone???...



Another part (bargain) I managed to get on eBay was some DBR rearsets. As you can see they looked a little tatty to start of with but got them shot blasted and they look like new....

Now I just have to figure out how to fit them - think I may need to make an adapter plate?!

I will take some more pics of what i've been up to and get them up asap.

if it were me, I'd cut off the lower subframe braces completely and replace them with straight ones - those bent ones aren't overly attractive. That's what I did here .... (The frame on this one is also an 1100E)



For the rearsets, clean up the area around the swingarm pivot and weld some tabs on the frame for them to bolt to. For the pillion pegs, I drilled and tapped some (18mm) round bar, then drilled the subframe, slid the bar in and welded it up to provide mounting points (if you look you can see a pair of allen screws just above the shock reservoir) for a pair of early steel-frame CBR600 pillion pegs and brackets

The sub-frame supports don't offend me too much. I've got a few ideas on how to tidy it up, plus it gives me decent storage under the seat.

Unfortunately my ninja fell over at the weekend (side stand sunk into tarmac!) so that will be getting my attention at the moment. Snapped the gear hanger, scratched the fairings, snapped the wing mirror off and smashed the screen. Luckily all fairings are in one piece, just cosmetic damage really.
