Are you currently wearing dungarees a straw hat and spitting in a bucket whilst chewing tobacco and drinking your home made "shine" ?? ;-)

Neither. We had a herd of cattle but not as a business. Sold off the extra to pay the taxes on the land each yeah and butchered for beef for ourselves. Had other jobs for a pay.

Yep... Wish they could be happy about me expanding my job opportunities? Or how about my own independence? No.. I get how unsafe it is and shock about my husband "putting" me on a bike. My mother-in-law surprised me with her reaction. She used to ride a bike!. Hubby is thrilled for me though. He'll no longer need to run me to work in bad weather! Lol

I'd love to go on one! I'd have to wait until I upgraded though to be able to keep up I think. only have a Scooter right now after all. but I'll be joining in a ride soon as I upgrade! after some thinking about it I think I'm gonna go for my test at the end of February. I'm taking a week off work anyways then for my 27th birthday so I might as well do it then as well! then upgrade my bike whenever I get the funds together.

once I've gotten a little use to my scooter I want to try a short run to Looe from here to see how I get on with it for more then just town driving. I know the way but I'm stealing my hubby's sat nav :P he wants to upgrade anyways :))

Welcome to the asylum Stacy... :80: and good luck with the cbt and the whole 2 wheel adventure. Did my test at 27, a few years ago now but made up for it time wise even if I don't get out much now.

Try arguing the safety aspect with childs mother when he's allowed to ride, even have a pony coming this weekend for him but apparently bikes are too dangerous. Hmm, think it's social standing with noisy bike in the fields upsetting neighbours. Social danger :)) =))

Hi and welcome along Stacy!

Lovely to hear someone so keen to get into biking, make proper use of all the folk on here...they've a huge amount of experience and knowledge, and don't even think twice about asking questions no matter how minor sounding ok?

Good luck with your big bike license too...I am sure you'll be just fine :)):
