You shouldn't worry about the wet...water ain't slippery, as long as you don't open the throttle when you're going over the cover or white line you should be fine...

The most important tip is to look where you want to end up (even when cranked right over & cra**ng yourself because you've gone in too fast) i.e. the exit to the bend & not the hedge/wall/lampost halfway round the bend..

Have faith in your bike & don't panic, it's far more capable than you think..

Oh and learn to counter steer effectively..all helps.[/quote]

Oh Dear, a Little knowledge is a very dangerous thing!!

There is so much more to it than this. Looking where you are going does not affect your grip, weight distribution, throttle controll or ability to understand what is going on underneath you!!!!!!!!

And I see the locals are up in arms, united against Mr Mansell who owns the kart track up there now .... Seems he wants to build a massive complex and turn it into the one of the country's premier kart circuits .... so the locals (including some yuppie recently moved in TV presenter chick) are complaining about inadequate roads, excess noise (isn't it a bl**dy airfield & industrial estate ?), taking jobs away from local business's, etc., ...
