I used to work for the Met Police and still have plenty of contacts.
I'll speak to them before deciding if I'm wasting Police time.
What is of more immediate concern though, is who supplied my information.

And are you contacting them to get a second opinion - after all, you did tell Billinom8s last night that you had spoken already to your friend at Merseyside Police?

To recap then, you'll have spoken to Merseyside Police about this matter, the Met Police, your solicitor and then obviously Devon & Cornwall Police to report it more locally.
