Hey billi, yeh might take a look at the tiverton ride next week.
It might take me an age to get there minnus the M5 though. I'll see how I'm set.
Cheers smiler, I've been filtering down my list of bikes for a while. In the end I'll probably just buy the first thing in good nick for the right price. But I'll post piccies as soon as I have a new bike to play with. Then we can chat about mods

A KTM 990 SMT is the perfect bike after a 125. 2010 black and white ones are best. I see there's one in the for sale section. Looks absolutely fantastic and absurdly cheap. Buy it quick would be my advise. Just sayin..

On another note, it was the first time I have been tail end Charlie so any feedback would be great. I think the intercoms made things easier, being able to let the lead know we were all through lights etc. I also thought the armbands worked well .

Blatant plug, blatant plug
Hillbilly: My best and soundest advice would be to graduate to a horribly & monsterously powerful beast like that V-twin KTM in stages

- fer instance, by buying a certain other V-twin wot is a nice and easy-going (but quick enough) comfy armchair by comparison - then I can buy that KTM and look after it for you for a few years until you're ready

.

You couldn't swing your leg over that ktm Robbo, even if it is bionic.

You're right, they're high old bikes. I'd have to stand on your wallet to reach

Swinging a leg over a tall Austrian V twin is internationally recognised as the most effective form of physiotherapy for people recovering from a hip replacement. Many clinical experts doubt that it is possible for patients who do not own a KTM 990 SMT to recover fully from this procedure and they advise those entering the later stages of convalescence to buy one as soon as possible, with an NHS grant or a whip round form friends if necessary. Black and white 2010 models they say are best.

you do realise that by advertising your smt to this degree on swb, that if you sell it we are fully entitled to a 10% advertising revenue from the sale.
Just thought you should know, it also goes up a further 1% for each and every thread you try and hijack
