You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Then you end up with clogged roads instead off a traffic free run. Would much rather be out at silly o'clock than fighting your way past all the Sunday drivers, good job we're all different.

ImageMrs Ming was having serious second thoughts at 2. 30am when we were getting bike kit on, but said after that the part up to Land's End was fantastic. Nice temperature, little traffic, comfy seat.
The part after, not so good. Puncture in the rear of the Duke was plugged by Black and Gold (Duncan), 2nd compressor inflated it but that failed after a mile so we did it all again. Fixed properly, we set off to find breakfast wasn't on the menu at McDonald's. Seems the 21st century hasn't caught up with the Golden Arches so guess what they didn't have 🙄
Then it really went downhill. Bike kept cutting out at idle but rode okay if the revs were up, although an engine light was on indicating a fault with the electrical system. I intended to head straight home, having held everyone up before, but slowing for a speed camera (!) the bike cut out at about 50mph, warning lights aplenty. Jer did a good job to avoid a rapidly decelerating KTM, I gave up trying to nurse it home so it was a breakdown truck ride home. Now it's going to be probed by S and P to see what's failed, although they're stumped at the moment.
So, all in all not a great day for me or the missus, but we still had a great time overall.
Thanks to the various run leaders and TEC, and all those that helped with the breakdowns.

The whole point of RTTB is the silly o'clock start to get to Lands End for sunrise. Plenty of other runs at other times. I would not like to go down there later when all the emmets are out.

Seems like I missed a good run this year.
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't
